I became acquainted with Kusai about ten years ago, but in art, I feel as if we had known each other for a hundred years. When we talk about art and craft, he and I are getting along very nicely with each other and I can get through to him at all. Now, he will hold an individual show. His works of art are very delicate since he is an acquaintance of Rokansai who is one of the pioneers in the modern bamboo artcrafts.
