立方体に手を付けた様な花籠である。幅5～13mm位の煤竹を使用し、竹の中心部分の皮を削り落としたものとを交互に用いて、編み目の大きい四つ目編みで仕上げている。
This flower basket was formed as a cube with a handgrip. The body was plaited with about 5 to 13mm Susudake. Surface-shaved Susudake and not one are plaited one after the other, with wide spaces by square plaiting.
磨きの竹を使用し、煤竹 手付置花籠 [55-001]と同種の花籠である。底編みは二本取りの鉄線編み、立ち上がりからは透かし三本網代編み、胴の部分にささらで捻り編を二段入れている。首周りは透かし二本網代編みで細く締め、口造りへ広げながら編み上げている。
This flower basket was made of Migakinotake. This basket looks like a flower basket with handgrip[55-001]. The base was made by double Tessen plaiting and the body was made by double twist plaiting with thin bamboo lines. The throat of the body was taperd and spread to the rim stitching.
竹の根本、もしくはその近辺を用いており、厚みが14mm位、かなり肉厚の竹で制作した作品である。表面には竹の染みや割れ目があるが、滝を思わせるイメージで景色となっている。またどっしりとしていてとても使い勝手がよい。
This Futaoki was made of quite thick Susudake(about 14cm) which was a root of bamboo. The Futaoki has spots or cracks in the surface, and it looks like a view of a fall. This Futaoki is stable.
煤竹を使用した掛花籠である。底は鉄線編みで、立ち上がりからは縦の竹を主とし、途中、横から竹を数本入れ、膨らみを付けながら編みあげている。横の竹は2枚重ねである。口造りは幅10mm位の竹を外と内にあてがい編み目を挟み、根曲がり竹で粗く巻きながら留めている。
This flower basket was made of Susudake. The base was made by Tessen plaiting. The swelled body was made of vertical bamboo lines led from the base and some horizontal bamboo lines added at the middle of the body. The rim stitching was made of about 10mm thin bamboo lines attached to both outer and inner side, and they were fixed with Nemagaridake.
磨きの竹を使用した花籠である。全体は魚籠（びく）の様な形で、底部分は荒い四つ目編み、立ち上がりからは幅の細い籤（ひご）を二重にして編む捻り編みである。全体を染料で染め、その上から拭き漆を施し、落ち着いた仕上がりとなっている。

This flower basket was made of Migakinotake. The body looks like a creel. The base was made with square plaiting and the body was made with twist plaiting. Having been stained and coated with Japanese lacquer, It looks calm.
丸い籐で魚を型取り、その外形に合わせながらござ目編みで作った作品である。染料を混ぜた漆で表面を塗り分け、お皿の上にもう一匹魚がいるような面白さである。
This Kashizara shaped to a fish was made by Gozameami plaiting. The surface was colored by Japanese lacquer mixed with stain, so it looks that the other fish lied on the Kashizara.
細く竹造りをした煤竹を使用し、華奢で小振りな作品である。底は2本取りで鉄線編み、立ち上がりからは網代網で、途中に細い竹籤を何段か入れながら編み進めた籠である。口造りと飾り手は根曲がり竹である。
花／日向水木、都忘れ
This small flower basket was made of thin Susudake. The base was made by Tessen plaiting and the body was made by twill plaiting. It has many thin bamboo lines. The rim stitching and the handgrip were made of Nemagaridake.
厚みのある四方竹（しほうちく）を繋ぎ合わせ全体を形作った水指である。四方竹とは棹が四角形に育った竹である。一定の長さに切り揃えた9枚の竹にカーブを付け、横に並べながら皮籐で繋ぎ合わせている。内側は繋ぎ目に柿渋を塗った和紙を貼り、その上から黒漆を何層にも厚く塗っている。底と蓋は横に繋ぎ合わせ丸くカットしたもので、蓋の摘みには銀線を使用。口造りは内側に竹を付け落とし蓋仕様とし、表面は透漆仕上げである。正面には金箔を貼り陽を描き、蓋を取った向こう正面には、三日月を蝶貝による螺鈿で表現している。
This Mizusashi is a combination of thick Shiho-chiku bamboo. The shape of a Shiho-chiku is square. Nine part of bamboo which were cut same size and bended were arranged and joined with split rattan lines. Japanese paper which was colored by juice from a persimmon was applied at joints and a lot of layers of black laquer were applied inside. Both the bottom and the lid were cutted circle, and a knob of the top was made of silver wire. At the rim stitching, bamboo was attached inside to fit the lid, and clear lacquer was applied to the surface of the outside. The gold at the front of the outside expresses the sun and the shell at the front of the inside expresses the crescent.
煤竹を使用した花籠である。全体は最も基本的な編み方の一つである籠目編みで仕上げ、底には3本の力が入っている。側面は6方向にかけて高台から口造りに竹をあてがい飾りとしているが、これは強度としての役割も兼ね備えている。口造りには竹籤を撚り縄編みにし飾り手を付け、アクセントとしている。
This flower basket was made of Susudake. The body was made by Kagomeami-plaiting, known as the most basic way of plaiting, and has three base lines of bamboo crossed at the bottom. Six splitted bamboo lines were set on the outside of the body. These lines also hold an important place in strength. At the rim stitching, there is a handgrip which was made of thin splitted bamboo lines by Hineriami plaiting.
磨きの竹を使用した花籠である。底から胴近くまでは麻の葉つぶし編みで、胴にはささら編みを3段入れアクセントとしている。口造りにかけては網代編み。口造りは、編み地を幅12～13mm程の煤竹で外と内側から挟み、皮籐で細かく飾りを付けながら巻き留めている。さらに幅10mm程の煤竹を底から前後に渡し、強度を付けつつアクセントとし、飾り手には細い根曲がり竹を脇に差し込み皮籐で留めている。
This flower basket was made of Migakinodake. The body was made by Asanoha-tsubushi plaiting and it has thin line made by Sasara plaiting as an accent. At the rim stitching, it was stitched with split rattan lines after setting about 12 or 13 mm Susudake to the inner and the outer ground. On the out side of the body, about 10 mm Susudake was banded from bottom to top. A thin Nemagaridake which was combined with the body shaped as a handgrip.
全体を網代編みで構成、下方三分の一辺りで網目模様に変化をつけ、底は升網代編みの作品である。蓋は幅2.5～3cmの煤竹を横に並べ繋ぎ合わせ丸くカットしたもので、蓋の摘みには真鍮を使用。口造りは内側に竹を付け落とし蓋仕様とし、内側には何層もの黒漆が施され、実際に水を入れ使用することができる。
This Mizusashi was made with twill plaiting. It has an change of a plaiting at one-third of the lower half of the body. The bottom was made with square twill plaiting. The top was made from a combination of bamboo which was build of about 2.5 through 3cm Susudake. The knob of the top was made of brass. At the rim stitching, bamboo was attached inside to fit the lid. Of course we put water into this, because a lot of black layers of lacquer were applied inside.
細い煤竹を使用し上下に節を付け、巻物のイメージが伺える香合である。表面にはうっすらと色の濃淡があり、彫刻で「古今倭歌集巻第一」とある。内側には、朱漆を塗った上に黒漆を重ね塗りを行っているが、研ぎ出しにより下の朱漆がほんのりと見える。
This Kogo has knots made of Susudake on the top and the bottom. It reminds us of a “Makimono”(a Japanese hand scroll). On the surface of the body, there are a few light and shade of Susudake, and a sculptured title of a old Japanese waka poetry “Shin Kokin Wakashū Volume 1″. A layer of black lacquer had applied over a layer of red lacquer, but top black lacquer was polished and thined. So the layer of red lacquer appeared slightly.
磨きの竹を使用した炉用の炭斗で、全体を黒色に染め拭き漆を施し、内側には和紙が貼られている。底は二本取りの鉄線編み、立ち上がりからは網代編みである。側面には細い幅の竹を6本、また上から三分の一ほどの場所にも根曲がり竹を添えている。皮籐による飾り結びが唐物独特の雰囲気を醸し出している。
This Sumitori was made of Migakinotake. The body was colored black with Japanese lacquer and Japanese paper was applied inside. The bottom was made by double Tessen plaiting and the side was made by twill plaiting. Six thin bamboo line was added to the side and Nemagaridake was attached to one-third of the body from the top. Decollation knots made of split rattan lines are distinction as a Karamono.
梅をイメージした香合で、肉厚の煤竹を使用している。彫刻により、全体を梅の花として表現した香合である。内側には漆が施されている。
This Kougou was modeled on a Japanese apricot(ume). The Kougou was made of a thick Susudake. A corolla of an apricot was sculptured on surface. A lacquer was applied inside.
[55-029]と対をなす籠である。本体は、直径約7.5cmの晒し竹を32等分し捻り編みにより編み進めたものである。上下別々に形作ったものを繋ぎ合わせ、中央部には膨らみを持たせながらも、上部は押し込んだような形に仕上げた。
This flower basket was made of Sarashidake. The body was made of about 7.5cm Sarashidake splitted to 32 lines by Hineriami-plaiting. The upper part was joined to the lower part and the body was shaped roundness with the hollowed top.
[55-030]と対をなし、提灯に似た形状をしている。本体は直径約7.5cmの晒し竹を32等分し捻り編みにより編み進めたものであり、上下別々に形作ったものを繋ぎ合わせ、中央部には膨らみを持たせた。
This flower basket, looks like a Japanese lantern, was made of Sarashidake. The body was made of about 7.5cm Sarashidake splitted to 32 lines by Hineriami-plaiting. The upper part was joined to the lower part and the body was shaped roundness.
胴は二種類の網代編みにより変化をつけ、煤竹の縄目による濃淡が微かに伺える。蓋は柾割の竹を中心から渦巻き状態に巻きながら造られたものである。煤竹独特の濃淡や節による凹凸が面白い。摘みは煤根曲がり竹の節が使われている。内側には何層もの黒漆が施され、実際に水を入れ使用することができる。
The body of this Mizusashi has a change with two type of the twill plaiting, and a few light and shade of Susudake. The top was a coiled bamboo which was divided lengthways. The body which has light and shade of Susudake, or uneven surface made of knot is quaint. The knob of the top was made of a knot of sooted Nemagaridake. Of course we put water into this, because a lot of black layers of lacquer were applied inside.
煤竹の根本、もしくはその近辺を用いており、かなり肉厚の竹で制作した作品である。また煤竹の色も濃く落ち着いたイメージがあり、とても使い勝手がよい。
This Futaoki was made of quite thick Susudake which was a root of bamboo. The color of Susudake is calm.
煤竹の濃淡ををうまく取り入れ全体を枡網代編み、三本網代編みで構成し、内側や底をに漆を何層も施す事により強度を付けた硯箱である。上段には硯と筆を入れ、下段には半紙などの料紙入れとなっている。
蓋は表面、側面共に枡網代編み、蓋を取ると二段重ねになっている
上段の側面は三本網代編み、内側は幅7～8mm程の枡網代編みで硯と筆を置くための竹が付けられている。内側の側面と裏側には何層もの漆が施されている
下段の側面は三本網代編み、底は枡網代編み、内側は何回もの漆が施されている
This Suzuribako(a box for a inkstone) was made by square twill plaiting and triple twill paliting, and it has light and shade patterns of Susudake on its surface. A lot of layers of lacquer were applied inside and at the bottom, so the body strengthened. It holds a inkstone and a pen in the top box and Japanese paper for calligraphy in the bottom box.
The surfece of the lid and the side were made by square twill plaiting. The box are built on two levels.
The side of the upper box was made by triple twill plaiting. A part of bamboo which held a inkstone and a pen was put on the inside with about 7 or 8 mm split bamboo. A lot of layers of lacquer was applied inside.
The side of the bottom box was made by triple twill plaiting and the base was made by square twill plaiting. A lot of layers of lacquer were applied inside.
幅7mmの煤竹を使用、底の麻の葉編みから編み始め、立ち上がりより四つ目編みで編み上げた花籠である。口造りは半分に割った根曲がり竹で、内と外から編み地を挟み皮籐で細かく巻きながら留めている。また根曲がり竹で付けた飾り手が全体のアクセントとなっている。
This flower basket was made of about 7mm Susudake. The base with a hemp leaf pattern plaiting was the first made and the body with square plaiting was the second. At the rim stitching, it was stitched with split rattan lines after setting Nemagaridake to the inner and the outer ground. The handle of this basket makes for the nice accent.
